What we are doing:

Hi Trail Dogs, This coming Tuesday, March 13th, John Van Heertum will be leading the work party, I have to stay out of the Sun for a while. This could be the last day working on the Spine Ridge trail. If you finish early, John might ask you to start clearing and improving the Keller Oak trail. I consider this trail the nicest of the two trails on Irish Canyon.
Please let John know if you intend to join him at 9am, at the Peacock Rd. park and ride, so he can get the right amount of tools. LJVANHEERTUM@AOL.COM (925) 672-5534

Directions to the staging area:

Meet at the Peacock Rd. Park and Ride parking lot by 9:00. If necessary, there may be a need for extra transportation to Irish Canyon to help shuttle volunteers to the trail site. Ideally, if you have a 4X4 and have been cleared to drive on Save Mount Diablo properties there is no problem. Not registered with Save Mount Diablo and would like to drive your 4X4, if needed, please bring a copy of your drivers license and proof of insurance to hand to me when we sign the weavers. You should be headed home by 3pm.

Directions. From Walnut Creek: Ygnacio Valley Rd, east to Clayton Rd. Right on Clayton Rd. Clayton Rd turns into Marsh Creek Rd. Don't go into the town. Four stop lights to Peacock Rd. [one light has a Fire Station on Right corner & golf course on left. Light before Peacock is "Black Diamond Trail"] Left on Peacock Rd. Park and Ride parking lot will be on the right, first drive way.
