Falls Trail in Mt. Diablo State Park
Date: 01/16/18
Time: 9:00 am
What we are doing:
Because of the recent rains that have made park roads too muddy to drive on, we have changed the location of the project for Tuesday January 16 to the Waterfall Trail.
We will meet at 9:00 AM at the intersection of Marsh Creek Rd and Russelmann Rd in Clayton. From there we will drive through the Horseman's property to the picnic area very close to the Waterfall Trail. Please be on time since you probably won't be able to get through the locked gate later. If you would rather hike in, meet us at the intersection of Cardinet Oaks Rd and the Waterfall Trail.

There is no need for a park pass since we will be parking outside of the park.

To get to Russelmann Rd, take Marsh Creek Rd east and soon after the road becomes two lanes, look for Russelmann Rd on the right. If you come to the RV parking lot on the left, you have gone a short way too far.

Directions to the staging area:

We will meet the intersection of Marsh Creek Rd and Russelmann Park Rd in Clayton.

As you are heading east on Marsh Creek Rd toward Brentwood from Clayton, Russelmann Park Rd is about a half mile past Regency Drive. We will initially meet soon after you turn onto Russelmann Park Rd and drive in as a group to the parking area. So please be on time since the Horseman's gate may be closed after we pass by it.
